Senior Computer Engineer / Systems Manager
Sarmad M. N. Ibrahim is the Senior Computer Engineer and Systems Manager at Dubai Civil Aviation. He is responsible for managing the data center including storage, servers and the security systems. He joined Dubai Civil Aviation in 1998 and has been since a key member of Dubai Civil Aviation’s Security technology department.
Sarmad has over 15 years of experience in the information technology industry and security management. Prior to Dubai Civil Aviation, Sarmad joined Baghdad Petrochemicals in 1989 as their senior software engineer and successfully managed their mainframe digital for 8 years.
Sarmad has graduated from the University of Technology Baghdad majoring in Computer Science. He also holds a Computer Engineering diploma from the same university. He obtained his masters degree from the University of Toronto in Canada.
Sarmad’s technology certifications and training accreditations exceed 20 and they include CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional ,Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Nortel Advance Security , Compaq Insight Manager XE, OpenText Livelink and McAfee Total Virus Defense.
